Football and Soccer

The boys have started the sports season. Luke is playing football for the Hurricanes and loves it and Joshua played his first soccer game this morning for the Green Gators. He has only practiced once so he is still kind of lost. The coach was telling them what to do from the sidelines and he started crying because he thought he was yelling at him.

I think he is getting the gist of it

Back to School

The boys were excited for the first day of school. Joshua was starting Kindergarden and Luke is in the third grade. It is nice to have both of them with me at school this year. I thought Joshua would cry but he did a great job but he did keep asking his teacher if he could go to his mom's room!

Summer Fun

We have had a really busy summer.  I can't believe school is about to start in a couple of weeks. Luke had football camp in Dallas for a week.  We stayed with Trey's parents and had a lot of fun swimming in their new pool.  Jarrett, Leslie, and Noah were also able to join us for the week.  It was really nice to spend time with family and get the cousins together.  We came home for a couple of day and then we were off to North Dakota to visit my family.  We were there for a couple of weeks and the time flew by.  Mom and I did a lot of biking in the evenings.  The weather was so nice and cool.  We had to go to the farm and check out the fields and say hi to Kelli.  Luke loved running around looking at everything and Josh wanted to sit in the truck because the tall grass was itchy.  We also took the boys out to the Air Force Base for Northern Neighbor's Day.  We were able to go through the planes, tanks, and hummers.  We watched the air show and the parachuters.  That same day Brian also had his annual Backyard Blowout.  The kids had a blast in the jumpy and playing in the yard.  Brian was at the grill making his  brats which were awesome as usual.  We travel to Carrington one day for a picnic with my uncles Butch and Rick and their families.  We had a really nice time grilling and visiting.  It was nice to see everyone.  The kids favorite was probably the fair.  We also took a trip to the lake to spend the day.  We went on a pontoon ride and Luke went tubbing.  The best part of the trip was getting to spend time with family and seeing my niece and nephew.  The boys really had a good time with them.  We celebrated Grandma's birthday early before we left.
