Fall Fun

Fall has finally arrived here in Texas. It is nice to have the cool weather. Luke has been keeping us busy with football. He really LOVES it and wishes it would last longer. He was the Homecoming King for his team. He had the flower, the sash, and the crown. We will be traveling to the Ranch for Thanksgiving and hopefully we will get to see the fall leaves. We hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Hurricane Dolly

We started boarding up for Hurricane Dolly on Tuesday afternoon. We were not that concerned since they were predicting it to be a category 1 storm. As is started getting closer it moved to a category 2 but we were just expecting a lot of rain and wind. We lost our power on Wednesday afternoon and didn't get it back until late Friday night. Luckily we had some friends that never lost power so he were able to spend time at their house on Friday. It was miserable to be in the house, you would sweat just sitting still. We ended up getting our cable and phone back on Sunday afternoon. We went to the grocery store this afternoon to replenish our empty frig and I couldn't believe how stocked the store was. Unbelievable how fast it was replenished. Just a couple of days ago the stores were throwing out everything cold and they had security guarding the dumpsters. This is the first hurricane we have been through in the 14 years we have been down here and I hope we don't get another one for a LONGGGGGGGGGGGG time! Here are some pictures of the water and in town!

Tuesday night - all is calm

May I take your order? I guess NOT

No wonder we don't have any power!

Jen

Keeping Busy

Summer is in full swing and we are all keeping busy. I am taking a graduate class at the college. I was very fortunate to get into a grant program at the University in Brownsville so everything is taken care of by the university. We are getting an IPOD to do podcasting in the classroom and a laptop umung various science equipment to use in the classroom. It is 9 day in June and then 8 Saturday's in the fall and spring.

The boys are keeping busy playing outside, swimming, and keeping busy inside. Josh could play all day with his cars and trains and Luke has been really good about helping me around the house. Of course he reminds me every week for his allowance. He loves playing on the computer keeping track of his webkinz dogs online.

We went to MDAnderson for a check up last week and they found a new nodule in my lung. We are going back to see the oncologist on the 23rd of June. The doctor said they may just monitor it for a while. Some people have lived with them in their lung for 7-8 years before they knew they were there.

Trey has been riding his bike alot and taking care of the boys while I am at school. He is not sure if he will be doing football in the fall.

Here are some pictures of the boys! I will try and be better about keeping everyone updated this summer.

Have a fantastic summer!

Hugs,

Trey, Jenny, Luke, and Josh

Joshua's 4th Birthday!

We celebrated Joshua's 4th Birthday on January 19th at his favorite place - Chuck E. Cheese. He had a Cars cake with Lighting McQueen on the top. After he blew out his candles he took the car off the top and licked all the frosting off which is his favoroite part of the cake. He got lots of great presents from family and friends but his favorite was a brand new blue Mater truck that talks and tows cars and his Sioux hockey shirt from Grampa.
